Dan is aiming to raise money for Childhood Cancer Charities & for the Homeless and all his proceeds this year will go towards these causes which are dear to him. The 2nd Singele from HOOK on the Bad Monkey Records label is "Breakout" the title track off their upcoming album due for digital release in early February 2023! Early hard copies will be available at a HMV pre-release event in Norwich where the guys will perform the album and sign copies for you! The single will be available to download and stream from the 1st of December on all major platforms.

Lots currently underway with our latest signing HOOK and lots of their music is becoming available for you to download and listen to over the next few days and months, both old and new!

Firstly their debut album Sanatorium is being re-released, with new artwork and for the first time with all tracks now available digitally and all ready for you to download before December.... A perfect Christmas gift for your muso friends for sure!

At the same time as this there is their first single Whispers off their upcoming new album Breakout whicj will be available to download from November 15th. Then there is their 2nd single off the new album, the title track no less, Breakout and this will be released at the start of December! Then, after all that excitement, there is of course the brand new Album Breakout and it's launch with a Live performance and physical CD copies to purchase at the HMV store in Norwich on January 28th, more details regarding that to follow!

Originally formed in 2006 HOOK consists of John Hook, Rob Hook and Marc Hook who together write and record original only songs. After getting lots of USA airplay in 2009, John says "We decided to look at performing our songs live around our local area, Norwich, just to see what kind of response we got. Our first gig was in 2019 and then Covid came and, like many other bands out there, our musical future and our live gigging was held up."

"Not letting that stop us though we got busy during the lock-down and started writing for our first studio album, Sanantorium, which was recorded between lockdowns, so we were kept very busy!"

We are so happy to welcome Kevan Taplin, Singer Songwriter-Poet to Bad Monkey Records. His wonderful blend of music, lyrics and spoken word is something we’re really looking forward to sharing with you and hopefully there will be two new albums and more coming your way in 2023! Great news for Bad Monkey recording artists Ryder, supporting the legendary Chris Holmes, the former guitarist of W.A.S.P. on his upcoming Canadian shows! They will be appearing alongside Chris on Friday 13th May 2022 at the Moose & Goose, Thorold Ontario & on Saturday 14th at The Rockpile in Toronto.
