Samuel Bellamy
Samuel Bellamy is a Singer-songwriter who infuses Folk, Country and Rock music creating a mix of music styles. He was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio.
Samuel Spent many summers in Eastern Kentucky listening to folk music, mountain music and bluegrass music. Samuel Bellamy’s music was influenced by Willie Nelson, John Prine, John Denver, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, James Taylor, Sammy Hagar and many more artists.
In 2007, after retiring from the Army, he started playing guitar, after having learned the piano at a young age. Bellamy’s songwriting began while traveling across the country in an RV in 2019. He started performing at an open mic in 2011 at bars and later performed for veterans at the VA in a group setting.
The song, This Empty Chair, was written after watching a friend lose his wife to dementia a few years ago, and the struggles both during and after she passed away.
